East Austin Comedy Club (“we”) operates eastaustincomedy.com. This page explains what we collect when you use the site and buy tickets, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- When you buy a ticket: your name, email address, the show you booked, and the amount paid. Your card details go directly to Square, our payment processor; we never see or store your full card number.
- Automatically: standard analytics such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site (including ad campaign parameters in the link you clicked).
How we use it
- To deliver your tickets by email and let you in at the door.
- To send show reminders and, after the show, a request for feedback.
- To refund you if a show is cancelled or you request a refund.
- To understand which shows and ads bring people in, so we can run the club better.
We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
- Square processes payments and receives the details needed to charge your card.
- Resend delivers our ticket and reminder emails.
- Google (Analytics and Ads) and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) receive analytics and advertising data so we can measure and improve our marketing. After a purchase, a hashed version of your email may be sent to these services to attribute the sale to an ad. This does not give them your readable email address.
- Microsoft Clarity records anonymised session analytics.
Each of these providers handles data under its own privacy policy.
Cookies and tracking
The site uses cookies and similar technologies from the services above for analytics and advertising measurement. You can block them in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Your choices
To see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to opt out of reminder emails, email info@eastaustincomedy.com. Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link.
