Why Book a Comedy Show for Your Event
Most corporate events follow the same formula: open bar, small talk, someone gives a speech nobody listens to. A private comedy show is the opposite. Everyone's in the same room, laughing at the same thing, actually having a shared experience. It's the fastest way to get a group of people who barely know each other to relax and connect.
We've hosted team outings for Austin startups, birthday celebrations, bachelor and bachelorette parties, holiday parties, client appreciation events, and company off-sites. The format works because comedy is inherently social. You can't scroll your phone when someone's making you laugh five feet away.
The Space
East Austin Comedy Club
An intimate room with velvet curtains, dim lighting, and a professional sound and lighting setup. Every seat is close to the stage. The room is fully private when booked, meaning it's just your group, your drinks, and your show. No random walk-ins, no shared space.
On-site food: Sheesh food truck is parked right outside. Kebab rolls, chicken tikka, Mediterranean plates. Can be included in your event package or guests can order individually.

Corporate Team Outings
The most common booking we get. Companies bring their team for a night of comedy as a team building event, end-of-quarter celebration, or just because the office needs to laugh together. We can tailor the lineup to keep things clean or let the comics go full throttle, depending on your crowd. Groups of 20-82.
Holiday Parties
Skip the hotel ballroom and the DJ nobody dances to. A comedy show gives your holiday party a centerpiece that people actually talk about afterward. November and December book fast, so plan ahead.
Birthday Parties
Bring your friends, bring your drinks, and we'll make the birthday person the star of the show (if they want to be). Our comics are great at reading the room and making it personal without being cruel. Works for groups of 20+.
Bachelor & Bachelorette Parties
A comedy show before you hit 6th Street. Start the night laughing, then stumble out into East Austin for the rest. We can make it as clean or as rowdy as the group wants.

How Booking Works
1. Tell us about your event. Fill out the form below or email us. Include your date, group size, budget, and what kind of vibe you're going for. We respond within 24 hours.
2. We build your lineup. Based on your group and preferences, we curate a lineup of professional comedians. Want clean corporate comedy? Done. Want the comics to go hard? Also done. We'll send you the proposed lineup for approval.
3. Show up and laugh. You bring the people and the drinks. We handle the rest: sound, lighting, stage, comedians, and making sure your group has the best night out they've had all year.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance should I book?
At least 2-3 weeks for weeknight events, 4-6 weeks for weekends. Holiday season (November-December) books up fast, so reach out early. We can sometimes accommodate last-minute requests for weeknight dates.
Can we bring our own food and drinks?
Yes. We're BYOB, which means you bring whatever you want to drink. No corkage fees, no drink minimums, no $15 cocktails. For food, Sheesh food truck is on-site, or you can arrange your own catering. Some groups bring pizza, some bring a full spread.
Is the comedy appropriate for work events?
We match the comedy to your audience. If you need it clean for a mixed corporate crowd, our comics know how to be hilarious without crossing lines. Just let us know your comfort level when booking.
What's the minimum group size?
20 people for a private event. Smaller groups are welcome to buy out a section of a regular show instead.
Do you have parking?
Street parking on East 6th is free after 6pm. There's also a lot across the street. For larger groups, we recommend ride-sharing. We're a 5-minute Uber from downtown.
Can we add presentations or speeches?
Yes. We have a full AV setup with mic, speakers, and screen. Some corporate groups do a 10-minute presentation before the comedy starts. Works great for awards, announcements, or toasts.
